The Divine Summoner: Betrayer of Humanity
Antony W.F. ChowLuka initially planned to return to his family estate and consult with Sir
Orella and James to sort out his dukedom's affairs. But the letter that his
head butler left with Lord Evans put his mind at ease. Since the spies
watching his mentor's house included his fiancée's group, and Erz City was
roughly equidistant between his home and Tsuchimiya, Luka decided to visit
her earlier than planned. His urgency to see her would demonstrate his
sincerity for her thoughtfulness in sending her royal knights to secure his
manor.
Luka turned to look at his mentor's butler. "Sir LeFar, may I trouble you to
arrange an official carriage to bring me to my fiancée's palace?" he requested.
Ardgery stepped into the parlor room and spoke up. "Your Excellency, a
royal carriage is waiting outside with flower knights as escorts."
"Nevermind," he chuckled. "Oh, do I look suitable to meet my fiancée?" he
asked.
The old maid smiled and offered, "If I may draw a bath for His
Excellency?"
"In other words, I stink," Luka grimaced. "Please do."
